Meta wants to get more creators in Brazil posting to Facebook, so it’s expanding its Creator Fast Track program, which offers guaranteed monthly payments to entice creators who are already popular on other apps to share their content to Facebook as well.
Launched in the U.S. and Canada back in March, the Facebook Creator Fast Track program is aimed at creators who’ve already built an audience elsewhere.
To qualify for Brazil’s version of the program, local creators will need to have at least 20,000 followers on either Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, and have generated at least 30,000 video views over the previous 30 days.
The program is open to creators who haven’t posted a Facebook Reel in the last 6 months and is only valid for “high-quality, original” content.
Those accepted into the program will be required to post at least 20 original Reels on Facebook during each 30-day period over the course of three months. Those Reels need to be posted on separate days, and the videos must be original to Facebook. Creators can re-post content that they’ve shared in other apps, so long as it hasn’t been previously posted on their Facebook Page.
Creators who meet these requirements will be rewarded with guaranteed payments not tied to video performance, but instead linked to audience counts on other apps.
As explained by Meta: “Your monthly payment depends on the highest follower count on one eligible Instagram, TikTok or YouTube account linked during your application. The program uses only your highest follower count from a single account.”
Creators with up to 100,000 followers in one of these apps are eligible to receive $25 per 30-day period, and up to $75 total for the life of the program. Creators with one million followers or more on these other platforms will get $300 per day, up to $900.
Those amounts are significantly lower than what Meta offered creators in the U.S. and Canada in the first iteration of the program.
In the first iteration, creators in the U.S. and Canada with up 100,000 followers were offered up to $450 per month, while those with a million or more followers got $3,000 monthly payments.
It seems that Meta has watered down those amounts for the Brazilian market, which could suggest that the initial scheme didn’t deliver enough return on that outlay to justify the payouts.
Yet, at these lower amounts, it seems unlikely this will be a big lure for creators in Brazil, who, in most cases, are earning significantly more from monetization programs on other apps.
But clearly, Meta is keen to make Facebook more engaging, and by enticing established creators over, it’s hoping that it can then keep them posting to the app by showcasing the value of connecting with the Facebook audience, and tapping into increased video engagement in the app.
As part of its Q1 2026 earnings announcement, Meta reported that total video watch time on Facebook increased by more than 8% globally, representing the largest quarter-over-quarter engagement gain in four years.
