As Meta’s Edits video app continues to add new features, TikTok’s CapCut is also rolling out some new options, as it seeks to maintain its place as a top video editing app.
First off, CapCut recently added a new LinkedIn integration, which enables CapCut users to export videos from CapCut to LinkedIn direct.
As you can see in these example screens, posted by social media expert Lindsay Gamble, CapCut’s composer now has a LinkedIn sharing button to facilitate easy posting, so you can easily transition your CapCut creations across to the professional social network.
As per LinkedIn:
“Now, after you create and edit a video in CapCut, you can share it to LinkedIn in just two taps: no more exporting hassle or extra steps to go through. And just like when you post a video directly on LinkedIn, content you share from CapCut that's related to our video trends will automatically become eligible to surface in those trends.”
As you can see in the second image above, videos posted on LinkedIn will display a “Made with CapCut” message above the caption, but as LinkedIn notes, using CapCut for video editing will have no impact on content ranking via the feed algorithm.
And with LinkedIn putting more focus on video content, that could be a valuable consideration. It could also make it easier to reuse your video creations across another platform, helping you get the most out of your content efforts.
I mean, what you post on TikTok might not be the best fit for LinkedIn as well, but maybe with some minor tweaks, it could make it easier to spread your posts a little further.

On another front, CapCut also recently added some new generative AI tools to help you create more engaging content.
Among the new AI tools CapCut has added, we have:
- Text-to-video creation – Simplified video generation from text prompts, including a script and music
- AI media generation – CapCut users can now access external AI models, like Veo3 and Seedream, for AI video and image generation
- AI Avatars and Characters – You can also convert photos into animated characters with lifelike gestures and voice
- Improved editing tools – CapCut’s also got new AutoCut, AI Clipper, and Transcript tools for editing and customizing your content
It’s also added new multilingual translations to help expand your audience, similar to YouTube’s auto-dubbing.
So a range of new tools to check out, which could further streamline your video content creation pipeline, while the direct LinkedIn connection will also facilitate faster posting.
Could be worth signing-up for CapCut’s full feature set.
