TikTok is back in the US! Trump proposes new plan

After a brief ban of 1 day, TikTok has resumed operation in the evening of January 19 local time, and users in the United States open TikTok and pop up a reminder of return. In this process of lifting the ban, Trump played an important role in promoting it.

According to local news, after TikTok was shut down, the new US President Trump first posted on his social media account "SAVE TIKTOK!" It said it would issue an executive order on Monday extending the time until TikTok's ban takes effect, and made it clear that any company that helped keep TikTok from being shut down before the order was issued would not be held responsible.

At the same time, Trump suggested that the initial idea was for TikTok's existing owners to organize a joint venture with/or a new owner, in which the United States would take 50 percent ownership.
