Once a creator is comfortable with how everything looks, they can then go live directly from Practice Mode with the tap of a button. This could be a valuable training and improvement tool for creators.
It is somewhat surprising that it’s taken YouTube so long to launch this option. Instagram added live practice mode in 2021, and TikTok and LinkedIn also have live stream practice modes.
Either way, it’s another consideration for YouTube streamers.
On another front, YouTube is also rolling out automated insights into Shorts clips. The new metrics can provide tips and notes before publishing.
YouTube said the new insights option will give creators data-driven insights into their Shorts hook, visuals and pacing, which should help improve performance.
Creators who have access will be able to activate this option by tapping the “Get Feedback” button in Shorts composer.
